Dream Vocation -- England

Since I was a little boy, I felt in love with football and my favorite football team is Manchester United, the biggest football club in the world. I always want to visit the home stadium of United, Old Trafford, which is also known as "The Dream Theater".
Moreover, I am fascinated by the long history and fabulous mid-century buildings and landmarks in London, such as London Eyes, The Great Britain Museum and the Buckingham Palace. I know those places from books, movies and internet and I hope I can visit there someday.
Budget:
  • flight: $1400/person
  • hotel: $230 * 4 nights =$920
  • transportation: $300
  • food: $100 * 5 days = $500
  • match ticket: $300
  • souvenir & jersey: $500
Day 1:
I will take a 8-hour flight to London from Toronto and take a 4-hour bus from London airport to Manchester. After a long flight and ride, I decide to make Rosso Restaurant to be my first stop. The owner of Rosso Restaurant is the former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand. He played for United for 10 years and everybody likes him. I hope I can meet some United players there and it's why I make it as first stop.

Day 2:

In the early morning, I will go to Carllington Training and wait outside. Why? Because that's where players train and they will give you signatures when they leave the training ground. I hope I am lucky enough to get one. Then  I will visit the Old Trafford stadium. In the stadium, I can take a tour with a guide. He will walk around the stadium with me and show me all the trophies United has won and explain the history of the team. Lastly, I will buy a lot of souvenirs and jerseys in the store so that I can give my friends some gifts and I can keep those jerseys. Now I already have three jerseys.

Day 3

Match day!!! Watching a game in the Old Trafford is every football fan's dream. To be honest I will buy a ticket to get in no matter what. The atmosphere in the stadium is sensational. Everyone is singing and cheering every time United players touch the ball and booing to the opponents. If I was there, I am sure that I will cheer with everyone as loud as I can when we score.
 Day 4

Today I will leave Manchester and head to London. In London, basically I just do some sightseeing. Among those landmarks, the London Eye attracts me the most. I am a 007 movie fan and in 007 series London Eye always shows up in the movie. I think the combination of London Eye and the Thames River is just unbelievable.

Day 5 & Final Thoughts

On the fifth day, my journey in England ends. In this trip, visiting the Old Trafford stadium and watching a game in this phenomenal stadium make me feel like dream comes true. Time spend in London makes me feel like living in the dream. I really want to stay longer to explore more, however, dream is short and it's time to wake up back to real life.
